Scott came on board at Engel Burman Construction in early 2017 to fill a vital role as the company grew in size and scope: Director of Operations. He manages a team of approximately 25 people, from Superintendents to Project Managers, as he oversees the operations of all construction projects.
Scott spent two years studying Finance, but he switched gears after working as a technician for an independent inspection laboratory, performing field and lab tests of construction materials. He then moved on to a geotechnical engineering firm where he was also a field technician. This ignited a new interest for Scott so he continued to work, but went back to school for another two years, this time studying Engineering Sciences.
The next move for Scott was into the construction field. He was hired by Turner Construction as an assistant superintendent, and he spent the next 27 years doing everything from field assignments to purchasing, eventually progressing his career to Project Executive. His impressive portfolio of projects includes construction at Montefiore’s JD Weiler Hospital, Senior Project Management of 500,000 sq. ft. of new construction for Manhattan’s Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Project Executive for NYU Langone’s Kimmel Pavilion – an 800,000 sq. ft. hospital with a project volume of $800 million.
In his free time, Scott can be found somewhere outdoors. He likes to spend time honing his sporting clays skills at the range, and takes full advantage of the summers by spending time on the beach or on the boat with his family.Work with Us Back to all members
